Kim's Diary Entries

November 20, 2002

Wow where has this month gone? Once again I am very excited for Aimee and Kevin. There is not a whole lot going on around here excpet that we haven't seen the sun in about five days, major fog. It seems that there is no end in sight until we get a change of weather. A has resumed his visits wth his bio mom after a three week break for reasons that are unknown. One week we had to cancel when they were sick. Both boys had their visit on Monday and not much was said. M's mom who said that she as going to bring an oufit for him two weeks ago did not bring one and I did not ask. Dh brought up a good point. This cousin that the bio mom wants him placed with has not bothered to show up for a visit. You would think that if you really wanted to have this child placed with you, that you would show up with the bio mom and have a visit to get to know M. We talked to M's SW before she left for vacation and asked if any effort was being made by this cousin. She said it had been pretty quiet he has not moved from the home that bio mom lives in with bio grandma. They just keep saying that they want him. So things still look good from that perspective. Only two and half more weeks until court. M has been teething for two months and has yet to cut a tooth most days are good just alot of drooling, but then there are the cranky days. Now A has decided to teeth. I told Dh that A will probably cut a tooth before M. A does not like baby food at all. I have tried rice cereal and he just gets mad and cries. I have even taken a break for a few days and went back and same reaction. It took M one feeding and he was hooked, it just shows how different babies are.
Yesterday the boys and I went Christmas shopping. I went to this store called Gottshalks and on Tuesday's it is senior day and they get an extra 10%. Plus this week they were having a secret sale where you purchase your items and then get a scratcher to see what additional discount you get. I think that every senior citizen was at the mall yesterday and they all adored the boys. It was very cute all the little ladies and guys ooing and awwing over them. Then they look at me. I had A in the front of the stoller and had to move M into the front carrier so I could make room for all the bags and a crockpot. We were some site to look at. We are leaving next week to go down to San Diego for the holiday. That will be fun and nice to get out of the fog. Here is what my boys are doing.

A who will be five months on the 26
Hates Rice cereal lol
Can roll over
Gets up only once a nite
Is teething
Loves to smile when you look at him or give him a rasberry on his stomach or even make the sound.
M will be seven months on Dec 5 same day as court.
Is getting very close to crawling
Can hold his own bottle, working on sippy cup
Says mammamama, he babbles all the time
Getting to the point where he recognizes people and cries
Loves any kind of baby food although can now tell the difference between veggies and fruits.
Has a great smile with dimples and also gets the wrinkles when he is thinking.
They are growing so quickly and I am amazed how each day brings something new.
Everyone have a great week

Happy adoption thoughts
