Kim's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 5, 2002

I hope that everyone had a nice Halloween. Now on to my favorite time of the year, the hoiday season. DH teases me about Christmas, he says if I buy one more decoration he will die. lol I have been trying to get all my nieces and nephews to give me their wish lists. You would think that they would want to jump all over this. They know if they tell aunt Kim and uncle Gary a specific item they will usually get it, within reason and my budget. I like to have all my shopping done before Turkey Day excpet for DH I usually take a little longer shoping for him. Two of my nieces gave me a list and then wrote back, oh aunt Kim never mind because we went shopping and already got the stuff that we told you. Luckly I hadn't purchased those items yet. I was about ready to ring her neck.
On to our trip to San Francisco, Cow Palace. My nephew and our good friends were showing cattle and hogs. My BIL brought a pen of angus steers for the prospect steer sale and he won Champion Angus pen. Then Dh's best friend David, his daughter Kadie had a shorthorn Steer and won reserve champion shorthorn. Sorry if this makes no sense to you, but we had a great time and the weather wasn't to bad usually it is freezing and sometimes rains. On Saturday I had a sweater on and had to go change into a tshirt. The only bad part was that I ventured downtown with the boys and was that ever a mistake. Besides the traffic then A started to scream at the top of his lungs so I was trying to console him and find the parking garage. By the time I got to park he fell asleep, thank god. I won't go into to many details about my little shopping experience lets just say I was about to cry and have a nervous breakdown. The boys were troppers during the whole trip only two nights did we have to get up with them during the night.
Yesterday M had his weekly visit bio mom was 30 mins late. Then when I was leaving after picking him up she said she was going to bring him an outfit. I said sure whatever. To myself I was thinking just don't expect me to remember to dress him in it every Monday. There is this little music box that she brought about three weeks ago that I have to remember to bring to each visit. I asked SW why it was my responsibility to bring it. She just laughed and agreed.Bio mom was saying it was his favorite toy, how would she know? Well, I gotta get because we are off to the Dr they both have some sort of bug throwing up and diareah sp. My niece and nephew had it and now DH and the two baby's have it so I guess I am next. Last night M woke up at 4:00 and I ended up having to give him a bath at 4:00 in the morning, it was not good. I feel so sorry for both of them. Right now they are both taking a nap. We are supposed to go to San Diego this weekend for my birthday and visit my family, but unless they are much better we won't go.
Have a great week and I look forward to hearing from you

Happy Adoption Thoughts
Kim
