Kim's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

June 23, 2004

I thought I had better update my diary before we go on vacation. Although it is really not vacation because we go there all the time and it is just the fair. We are going down to San Diego and of course to the San Diego coutny to fair to watch our family show their livesotck. It seems that there has not been a whole lot going on.

I did call Isaac's SW yesterday to touch bases with her before we left. I asked her if the case had been transfered to adoptions and she said that she didn't handle it but yes that it was out of her hands. OK. I will call the adoptions today and see if they have it yet. Once again I can see how kids fall through the cracks. As for peanut he is really on the go and even gets up on his knees and acts like he is going to pull himself up. He now really likes to eat, but when he doesn't he doesn't.

As for Blaine he has defintly entered the two's. We had his birthday party last Sat even though his birthday is this Sat the 26th. We had about 30 adults and 15 kids and that was way to many. I was sitting on the floor with Blaine helping him open his preesents and I had a giant mob of kids hovering over me tryng to "HELP" I never felt of closterphobic(sp) in my life. At one point I finally said ok everyone back up. My SIL laughed and said you just need a bigger house. We all had a great time. Even with the pinata that didn't want to break so I ended having to rip it open. My mom even came down from Reno which was nice. Blaine finally warmed up to her since he has probably only seen her a whole 5 times in his life. It was nice that she came though. Blaine finally somewhat likes to play in the water. He does not like it at all. Even his bath he had to take his bath in his bathtub in his bath seat or he would just scream and cry. It made it really difficult when we are traveling to bathe him. Well two weeks ago I said ok enough is enough. I took out the bath seat and he was crying at first and then he was ok. His gradnma got him a water Sprinkler thinking that would be the ticket. By the end of the day he was running through it. We are still working on the pool.

My grandpa Mike who was my grandmas second husband was diagnosed with cancer about a month ago this is on top of his other health problems. I calle dmy aunt to get his phone number to call him on fathers day and my uncle said that he ws in the hospital. Apparently he had another stroke and fell. So he was being monitored but they won'e keep him unless he gets worse and they won't put him in a facility until he is really bad insurance won't pay for it. He is 87 and already has hospice involved. I am going to see him on Sat. We don't think he will be with us much longer. I was never extremely close to him, long story but I did vist him and had a relationship with him. So the next few weeks will be hard on my family.

I hate to end on a sad note, but I must go Blaine wants me to go play with him. I hjope everyone has a great week. I will post when we get back from vacation.

Isaac 8 1/2 months
