Kim's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

January 21, 2004

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday. I think that this will be my last entry. It is nice having a record of my thoughts and hearing thoughts from other adoptive moms, but it seems that we are all running out of time to post on a frequent basis, plus I find it irritating that they still have not posted our picture although it doesn't look anything like Dh now since he lost over 100 pounds. I thank you for giving me support when I needed it. Blaine is growing like crazy he defintily has a personality and he is very active and of course loves balls still. I just laugh at the things he does sometimes, like where on earth did he learn that? As for Isaac he is still with us, the paternity test came back as alleadged father was not the father so that ended all visits with him. As for the biomom she has still not seen him since before Thanksgiving so if this continues even through March her not seeing him I think that come court in June we will have a good case for Terminating services and then moving on to terminating parental rights. we still have a long road ahead, but every week that goes by is in our favor. He is growing like a weed he went from 5 7oz to at the first of Jan weighed 10. 10 oz. He smiles and laughs and has a wonderful personality. We enjoy watching the two boys grow up and Blaine loves to give Isaac kisses and help out when he is crying.

A letter for Blaine
I can't remember what life was like before you came into it. It seems like forever ago that we were going through fertility treatments and if only we knew that our time would come to be parents and it would be through the gift of adoption. I love waking up everyday knowing that you are our son.I love watching you grow and learn. This past year and a half has gone by so quickly.I still remember the day we got the call for you, what a life changing day that was.You are the light of my life and I couldn't imagine you not in it. I look forward to watching you grow into a young man and knowing how much we wanted and prayed for you. You are a gift from God and we thank him everyday for you.

So with that being said I thank you again for all the support that you have given us I will miss not writing this but at the same time I think that it is time to move on. I will continue to read and post when I can. I wish you the best of luck with raising your families and I know that you enjoy every minute of it.
