Introduction

The Cerclage Surgery
December 20th
12 Weeks PG

We had to be at the hospital at 1pm for the surgery, which was scheduled for 3pm. We waited for awhile in the waiting room and then were called back. They had me change into a gown and then tried to find the heartbeat via doppler. The nurse tried and tried for about 20 minutes and then finally sent Dr. W in to do an ultrasound. Jr's heart was beating away and we were put at ease. Thank God! Phew! I was on pins and needles. After the ultrasound the nurse gave me a shot of benadryl to calm my nerves and they took me back to the O.R. and started my IV. Kevin had to go to the waiting area during the surgery (of course). As soon as the IV was started the anesthesiologist came in and sent me to La-La Land. I woke up and felt fine. There was some slight pain and I could tell that something had been done "down there". Otherwise, I felt fine. I had to urinate before I was released and once that task was complete we left for home. I slept most the night away and watched Kevin do the last minute taping of boxes.

December 21st-The BIG Moving Day!

We got up early and had our "crew" over to help us move. We had a moving van and several pick up trucks with trailers to help us get the house moved over to the new house. It was a crazy day. I was so tired at the end of it. We had a pretty uneventful day as far as moving went. The guys did all the heavy lifting and moving while the girls were doing smaller boxes and cackling. I had to rest and felt so bad because I was the "Director" of boxes and goods into specific rooms. It was an easy job. I mostly sat in the recliner and barked orders. That is so no like me either. I felt really horrible about it. I got over it though and just went with it for the day. At the end of the day we had all our things in the new home in boxes EVERYWHERE!

Christmas 2002

We had a very nice Christmas this year with both our families. We spent Christmas Eve with my parents and grandparents. Christmas Day was spent with Kevin's family. It was so nice to be with family during the holidays. We have so much to be thankful for in our families. We have two babies on the way, a newly married couple trying for a baby and so many more things. Its just endless. We all feel pretty blessed this year.

New Years Eve 2002 into 2003

We spent New Years Eve at my Best Friend's house. She had a small party at her house with great finger foods and sweets. Yum! I sipped Sprite all night and toasted into the night with it. It was nice to meet some of her neighbors and spend time with the kiddos. They were so cute running around with thier Happy New Year hats and horns. We did some fireworks and they all lined up on the driveway watching the show. I wish I was that young and carefree again. Life is good when fireworks seem like the coolest thing on earth! Right?

Well, that is it for today's update. I hope to get updated to current this week. I need to get back in the swing of writing entries again. I hope to get moved to PG Today diaries soon. I didn't make the move last week. Darn it!

I have missed you all sooooooo much! Please let me know how you are doing! Let's catch up! Our Cable Modem is being installed tomorrow. I can't wait!

Glad to be back!
Aimee and Jr.
